Story
Desiderius, the main character of the film, is the daughter of the cruel Dragon King. At the beginning of the picture she is still a child. From the next campaign her father brings a baby girl, found by him on the way in a wolf's cave. So Desiderius has a sister Selvadzh (Dikarka). The little princess tries to treat the foundlings well, Selvadzha only offends her in return. But everyone in the castle is so fascinated by the foster princess that Desideria no one believes. Over the years, nothing has changed. Desiderius is growing kind and sensitive, Selvage - prudent and cunning.
Years pass. Desiderius must choose his bridegroom, after which he will be able to inherit the throne and the magic Ring of the Dragon - a symbol of absolute power. Analyzing the portraits of candidates - the princes of kingdoms, conquered by her father, she accidentally finds a portrait of rebellious Prince Victor. Remained orphaned by the Dragon King, Victor raised a riot and was captured. The girl falls in love with a brave prince. It is in the hands of Selvadzhe who dreams of taking possession of the magic Ring. She helps Desiderius free Victor, but betrays her to the King.
The enraged King sends chase after the prince. Fleeing persecution, the prince jumps into the lake. The Fairy of Waters dwelling there saves his life and offers a crystal sword with which he can defeat any evil, provided that the prince returns and remains to live in the lake until the end of his days. But the prince is unable to forget about his savior Desiderius and refuses the sword, hoping for his own strength.
The king decides to marry his daughter by force, calling the other princes to the tournament. The winner will receive the hand of the princess and the right to freedom for his people. The princes who arrived at the castle are rude and cruel. Having secured the support of a faithful nanny, Desideria flees the castle, dressed in rags and taking with him a childhood friend, the Veselushka doll - a gift from Fairy Waters.
On the way, the princess learns that Veselushka is endowed with the gift of speech and can fulfill her three wishes. Desiderius wants to see Victor, and he immediately appears. But the prince remembers his savior only by her voice. Desideria is afraid that Victor will reject her as soon as she reveals her origin, and pretends to be dumb, but the prince accidentally hears her conversation with Veselushka and immediately recognizes the girl.
At this time, the grooms gathered at the tournament learn about the disappearance of the princess and force the King to make Selvaju the new heir. Selvaja, fearing that Desiderius, having found the groom, will return and claim his rights to the throne, charms Victor through a portrait with spells. Witchcraft succeeds and the prince, who explained himself in the feelings of Desiderius, falls in love with Selvaja and hurries to the tournament.
Selvaja is visited by her real father, the Fairy turned into a wolf by an evil sorcerer, warning that the girl should not use magic until she receives the Dragon Ring.
At the tournament, when one of the princes, Lisandro, almost wins, Victor appears and takes away his victory. Hiding among the audience, Desiderius wants Veselushka to turn her into a knight - so she can challenge Victor and save him from getting married. Thanks to Veselushki’s magic, the plan succeeds, Desiderius triumphs and takes Selvadj with him. Trying to make the mysterious knight return to the castle behind the Ring, Selvaja admits that if she receives the Ring without the aid of witchcraft, she will be able to restore her human face to her father and his people. Desiderius also opens up her face, she is determined to expose her sister, but Selvadzhu is rescued by the rescued Victor. Desideriya hurries after them to the castle and breaks the wedding that has begun, not allowing Selvaje to swear an oath and receive the Ring. She kisses Victor, and the spell falls off him. The king, making sure that Selvadzha is a sorceress, returns Desiderius the right of inheritance. The enraged Selvadja unleashes her magic on the castle, turning almost everyone in the castle into ice statues. But her evil charms turn Selvadzhu into a dragon.
Victor and Desiderius, who managed to escape, go to the lake for a crystal sword. Victor takes the sword and tries to fight the dragon, but Desiderius strikes the decisive blow. Wounded, he again turns into Selvadzhu, repenting of his deed. Desiderius forgives her sister and invites her to return to the castle, but Selvage prefers to stay with her father in the guise of a wolf. Victor is going to fulfill the promise given to Fairy and return to the lake with an enchanted sword, but Desiderius saves him by making a last wish, and instead of Victor, Veselushka leaves for Fairy. Victor and Desiderius are playing the wedding. They abandon the Ring of the Dragon, deciding to rule the kingdom without the help of magic.
