Biography

He was subjected to repression both in the Russian Empire and in the Republic of Latvia [7] and in the USSR . Posthumously rehabilitated [8] .

In 1928 he was elected a deputy of the Riga City Council from the trade union list [9] .

In 1928 and 1931 he was elected as a deputy of the Sejm of Latvia from the list of workers and peasants (legal cover of the prohibited Communist Party ); leads his faction. In 1932 he emigrated: first to Italy , then to the USSR.
