Air Terminal Square ( tat. Airport Məydany ) is a square in the eastern part of Kazan , in the center of the Soviet district of the city.

The square is located in the eastern part of Patrice Lumumba Street .
The square was divided and received the appropriate name by the beginning of the 1950s, along with the construction of a new main building of the Kazan airport station. The once crowded and saturated with transport, the area lost its importance after the transfer of the airport to the south-eastern outskirts of the city. The main airport ceased to operate at this place in 1979, the airport of local lines Kazan-2 - by the end of the 1980s.
The area has a paved area, as well as green spaces around. On the paved road parking lot arranged.
On the square opposite the end of P. Lumumba Street is the former main terminal building of Stalinist architecture , which currently houses the Tatarstan Air Traffic Services Agency (TAVS) and the offices of some other organizations. Previously, other profile buildings that existed now existed near the square south of P. Lumumba Street: a glass pavilion for servicing a bus station built in the 1960s and small stone buildings of an airport built in the 1930s. The view of the square has a high-rise dominant located near the first Kazan skyscraper " Azure skies ".
Previously, directly on the square there were a taxi stand and the terminus of bus routes No. 56 to the center and the river part of the city and No. 121 to the new airport; Number 5 (in 1959-1963). Formally, the square provides for the terminus of the temporarily not operating suburban-urban bus route No. 48 to the center of Kazan and further to Vasilyevo , which was moved to the Azino microdistrict.
In 2013, the “ Azure skies ” residential complex was built from the south of the square.
