Shredded wood - wood particles of various shapes and sizes obtained as a result of mechanical processing , namely: wood chips, crushed wood, shavings , sawdust , wood flour , wood dust .
After grinding, wood particles are sorted into fractions, as a result of which a conditioned fraction is selected, the sizes of which correspond to the requirements for chopped wood, depending on its further purpose. Often chopped wood is a waste of logging and woodworking . It is used for the manufacture of wood boards : fiberboard , chipboard , chip board ; serves as raw material for the production of cellulose and is used as fuel for boiler rooms [1] .
Content
Classification
- Wood particles - particles obtained by grinding wood raw materials [2] .
- Chips - chopped wood of established sizes, obtained as a result of chopping wood raw materials with chippers and special devices, used as technological raw materials or fuel:
- technological chips - chips for the production of cellulose , wood boards and products of chemical and hydrolytic industries . It is produced from fine - sized round wood raw materials with a diameter of 2-6 cm and a length of 1.0-3.0 m with a gradation of 0.5 m and maximum deviations of a length of ± 5 cm. Raw materials are not allowed: rot (sound, sapwood and rotting outside) and charred ; restrictions on curvature are established : simple is allowed with an arrow of deflection up to 10%, complex - up to 5%; other wood defects are allowed. The height of the knots left should not exceed more than 1 cm. Depending on the products produced from technological chips, the permissible content of different types of wood is established in it;
- green wood chips - wood chips containing impurities of bark, needles and (or) leaves;
- fuel chips - chips for the production of thermal energy .
- Crusher - wood particles obtained by grinding wood on crushers and hammer mills .
- Wood shavings are the fine wood particles produced by cutting wood.
- Sawdust - small particles of wood formed as sawing waste;
- technological sawdust - sawdust suitable for the production of pulp, wood-based panels and products of chemical and hydrolytic industries.
- Wood flour - wood particles of a given particle size distribution obtained by dry mechanical grinding of wood;
- wood flour vitamin flour - made from needles , leaves , non-lignified shoots (branches) and buds .
- Wood dust - unsorted wood particles smaller than 1 mm.
