History
It arose at the beginning of the XX century as a village at the railway station. The name is given for the nearby ancient village of Kyn .
Economics
Works JSC "Kynovsky timber industry". Railway station Kyn of the direction Kalino - Kuzino - Berdyaush . The station Kyn had previously the status of a precinct, there was a reverse steam locomotive (later - diesel) depot (currently not operational). Today, some of the tracks have been dismantled due to the small amount of shunting work. The station’s work boils down to the passage of a few exit trains (there is no through freight traffic since the 1990s) and several commuter trains per day.
