Aircraft
The aircraft L-410M (registration number of the USSR-67210, serial number 760513, serial 05-13) was produced by the LET plant in September 1976. In March 1977, it was transferred to the MGA of the USSR , which sent it to the Belgorod OJSC UGA of the Central regions. On the day of the disaster, he made at least 485 take-off and landing cycles and flew 252 hours [2] .
Flight
The flight route involved take-off and landing at the Belgorod airport. The crew flew in a circle at a height of 1200 m above the top edge of the clouds. The plane went into cloudy weather with one winged engine (the crew simulated its failure). The crew lost spatial orientation and began to take the plane out of the roll , confusing its side. As a result, the roll exceeded 60º. The plane lost control and crashed near the airport [1] .
Investigation
As it turned out during the investigation, the crew retrained from the An-2 . The instructor had a small attack on the L-410 and also used to fly on the An-2. All of them had, basically, experience only visual flights. In addition, the L-410 horizon was very different from the An-2 horizon they were used to, and with a large roll, it ceased to give correct readings.
