Slade's project, dated January 5, 1758, was noticeably longer than the standard 44-gun laying periods. From here it became possible to return an additional pair of cannon ports at the opera, and in 1762 they began to use them. The contract, signed with the Batson brothers shipyard on February 17, 1758 , provided for launching 16 months later.
