Biography
Born in the village of Ashgabat of the Akhal velayat [2] .
He began his career in 1943 with agriculture. Since 1944 he worked on the collective farm "Council of Turkmenistan."
In 1951-1954 he studied at the Bayramali agricultural secondary school. In 1954-1960, he worked as deputy chairman of the Council of Turkmenistan, a daihan association. In 1960-1978, the chairman of the collective farm "Council of Turkmenistan." He graduated from the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in 1966 .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 8, 1971 , Muratberdy Sopyev was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle medal for outstanding successes achieved in the development of agricultural production and the implementation of the five-year plan for selling the state agricultural and livestock products.
In 1978-1980, the first secretary of the Etrap District Committee of the Communist Party of Turkmenistan of the Ak Bugday District (Giaur District Committee of the Communist Party of Turkmenistan). In 1990-1991 he was a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
Since 1980, the chairman of the collective farm "Council of Turkmenistan." After gaining independence, Turkmenistan became the chairman of the peasant association created on the basis of the collective farm, named after him. He was also an archin of Gengesh, in 2005-2010 - archin of Gengesh Gami of Ak Bugdai etrap, chairman of the Agricultural Joint-Stock Company named after Myratberdi Sopiev of Ak Bugdai etrap.
Since July 26, 2010, retired [5] . Until the end of his life, he was an adviser to the Gengesh of the Agricultural Joint-Stock Company named after Myratberdi Sopiev.
