Alexander "Sasha" Djordjevic ( Serb. Aleksandar "Sasha" ђ ђ ђ ђ ћ / Aleksandar "Saša" Đorđević ; born August 26, 1967 in Belgrade , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Yugoslav and Serbian basketball player . He played as a point guard . Currently a trainer.

Basketball career

In clubs

He played for the famous European clubs Partizan , Olympia Milan , Real Madrid , Barcelona , and in 1996 he played for the NBA team Portland Trail Blazers . He completed his career as a player in 2005.

Team

He played for the national team of Yugoslavia , where he spent 108 games. The first medals with the national team - bronze - were won in 1987 at the European Championships . Four years later, Djordjevic won the 1991 EuroBasket gold with the national team. In 1996, at the Summer Olympics, the Serbs took second place, losing in the US Championship finals. In 1995, he became a two-time European champion . In 1997, in Spain, Sasha and his team won their third European league title. In 1998, Yugoslavia won the World Cup in Greece, this gold was the last in the career of Alexander Dzhorzhevich in the team. Since the early 2000s, he no longer appeared on the team.
