Kathleen Anne Brien (Kathleen Anne Brien; May 8, 1989), better known as Katy B (Katy B) - British singer-songwriter. She performs music in the genres of dubstep , R&B , funky , house , gridge and also performs under the pseudonym Baby Katy.
She was born in the Pekam Quarter in Southwark , Greater London . In 2009, she was invited to sign a contract with large record companies; in 2010, she released the first single, Katy on a Mission, via Rinse Records, which finished fifth in the UK charts. [1] In the same year she graduated from Goldsmith College . In 2011, Katie Bee released her debut album On a Mission , which reached second place in the UK, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize and Q Awards .
In 2012, Kathleen was selected as the performer of the official anthem of the Thirtieth Summer Olympics at a show timed to coincide with the start of the campaign to support the Move to the beat games [2] . “ Anywhere in the World ” was also performed in a duet with English DJ Mark Ronson at the opening ceremony of the games at the Olympic Stadium on July 27, 2012 [3] .
