Biography
Timrot was born on December 22, 1833 into an old noble family of German descent and was the son of Lieutenant General Alexander Ivanovich Timroth and the brother of Major General Goford (Gotthard) Alexandrovich Timroth.
Having been educated in the Page Corps , on August 13, 1852, he was issued the rank of ensign in the Life Guards Semyonovsky Regiment ; On August 11, 1854, he was promoted to second lieutenant ; on December 6 of the following year, he was promoted to lieutenant . Having successfully completed the course of the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in 1857, Timroth was promoted to captains of the Life Guards of the Semenovsky Regiment on January 13, 1858, and transferred to the General Staff with the rank of captain on January 1, 1859.
On May 5, 1859, Timrot was appointed senior adjutant to the headquarters of the 2nd Army Corps, on February 20 of the following year, as the division quartermaster of the reserve division of the 1st Army Corps, and on August 30, 1861, with the production of lieutenant colonels, he was appointed to be at the disposal of the Minister of War. On August 8, 1862 he was appointed chief of staff of the 4th Cavalry Division and in this position on April 4, 1865 was promoted to colonel .
From February 12, 1867 to May 25, 1875, Timrot served as commander of the 9th Siberian Grenadier Regiment , and then was appointed to the Finland Military District , where he served 16 years, serving as assistant chief of the district headquarters, from June 8, 1883 - chief 3- th local brigade, and from February 11, 1887 - the chief of staff of the Finnish military district, while retaining the duties of chief of the 3rd local brigade. During his service in Finland he was promoted to major general (April 17, 1876), and then to lieutenant general (August 30, 1886) and was awarded a number of orders up to the Order of the White Eagle (in 1889).
March 13, 1891 was appointed head of the 27th Infantry Division , and from December 7, 1892 he was commander of the 5th Army Corps [1] . In this position, Timroth died in Warsaw on April 6, 1895 at the age of 61, and was removed from the lists of those who died on April 17.

Timrot had a distinction for XL years of immaculate service (1894) and was awarded many orders, including:
