Chiaki Ishikawa ( Japanese 石川智 晶 Ishikawa Chiaki , born March 29, 1969 , Tokyo ) is a Japanese singer , composer , and songwriter . She was also the lead vocalist of the popular Japanese band See-Saw . Many of her songs and compositions were used as opening or closing themes in various anime series. Since 2003, her popularity abroad, both as a See-Saw member and as a solo artist, has grown significantly. She performed at Anime Expo 2007 , where she was invited as an honored guest. In 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 took part in the largest annual anime festival Animelo Summer Live .
