Protagonists
In the series, the current authors of the CollegeHumor website (like The CollegeHumor Show ) play the role of grotesque versions of themselves. Attention is concentrated around all nine main characters. Basically, the heroes are selfish and act in accordance with their immediate desires, not making rational decisions and not listening to their feelings.
- Ricky ( Ricky Van Win ) is the editor-in-chief, a wealthy, obsessed young man who craves the attention of celebrities from the D-list.
- Sam ( Samuel “Sam” Reich ) is the director of the scriptwriting department, although essentially as immature as his subordinates. A close friend of Dan.
- Dan ( Daniel "Dan" Gurevitch ) is an enthusiastic screenwriter. Often turns out to be naive in approaching women and the world around him.
- Amir ( Amir Blumenfeld ) is an outcast of the collective, socially unsuitable and prone to bouts of irrational anger. Desires nothing so much as becoming Jake's best friend. The plot of the Internet series Jake and Amir is built on their complex relationships.
- Jake ( Jacob "Jake" Hurwitz ) is the main office lady. Feels for Sarah.
- Sarah ( Sarah Schneider ) is the most mundane member of the team. Due to the partially "boyish" character, male colleagues perceive her as their sister. It often turns out to be the only voice of reason in a chaotic situation.
- Streeter ( Streeter Sidell ) is the editor of the main page of the site, the most gloomy of the screenwriters. Inclined to put pressure on pity to achieve their goals.
- Jeff ( Jeffrey "Jeff" Rubin ) - a video editor and video game fan, used to "go with the flow" in everything.
- Pat ( Patrick "Pat" Cassels ) is the most eccentric and pushed than other characters.
Minor Characters
- Chuck Paulson ( Nick Kroll ) is the executive director of the fictional site GiggleBarn.biz, competing with CollegeHumor .
- Trip ( Josh Ruben ) is a magician indifferent to the attempts of the CollegeHumor guys to bring him to Sarah. Josh Ruben is also a full-time employee of the site and occasionally participates in CH Originals sketches.
Production
Filming of the show took place in the existing offices of the InterActiveCorp campaign, which owns the CollegeHumor website. The film crew is made up of members of the same team that creates humorous videos for the site.
Primary Team
- Scott Tomlinson is an executive producer .
- Ricky Van Wing is an executive producer.
- Josh Abramson is an executive producer.
- Sam Grossman - Production Manager.
- Sam Reich is the executive producer and director of the show, responsible for all six episodes of the first season. He is also a co-author of the Rival Site series with Dan Gurewitch and Amir Blumenfeld.
- Dan Gurevitch and Amir Blumenfeld are the authors of three episodes (" Rival Site ", " The Morning After " and " Armageddon "). In addition, Gurewitch, together with Sarah Schneider, wrote the script for the Sarah's New Boyfriend series, and Blumenfield co-wrote the Interns episode with Patrick Cassels.
- Jake Hurwitz, Jeff Rubin, Streeter Seidell and Kevin Corrigan are full-time screenwriters of the series.
