69th parallel of north latitude
The 69th parallel of north latitude is an imaginary line running along the surface of the northern hemisphere of the Earth . The distance to the equator is 7655 km. [1] , 2344 km to the North Pole . Due to the fact that the parallel is located to the north of the Arctic Circle , on it during 60 summer days the sun does not fall below the horizon ( polar day ), and during 45 winter days it does not rise above it ( polar night ) [2] .
