Geography
According to the US Census Bureau, the statistically isolated area of Eleele has a total area of 2.6 km², of which 2.1 km² is land and 0.52 km² (18.63%) is water.
Demographics
According to the census for 2000 [4] , 2040 people lived in Eleal, there were 626 households, 500 families and 652 residential buildings. The average population density was about 951.2 people per square kilometer.
According to the census, the racial makeup of Eleele was as follows: 9.5% White , 0.3% Black or African American , 0.1% Native American , 61.8% Asian , 5.3% Native Pacific Islander , 22.5% are representatives of mixed races, 0.7% are of other nationalities. Hispanics accounted for 8.2% of the population.
Of 626 households, 41.2% raised children under the age of 18 years, 58.6% were married couples living together, in 16.1% of families women lived without husbands, 20.1% did not have a family. 18.1% of the total number of families at the time of the census lived independently, while 8.6% were single elderly people aged 65 years and older. On average, 3.26 people conduct households, and the average family size is 3.66 people.
The population of Eleele by age range (2000 census) was distributed as follows: 30% - residents under the age of 18, 6.6% - between 18 and 24 years old, 27.4% - from 25 to 44 years old, 19.9% - from 45 to 64 years and 16.2% - at the age of 65 years and older. The average age of residents was 36 years. For every 100 females there are 95.6 males, while for every hundred females 18 years and older, 94.4 males are also older than 18 years.
Economics
The average household income for Eleele was $ 46,705, and the average household income was $ 53,047. At the same time, men had an average income of $ 35,500 a year, compared to $ 25,667 of the average annual income for women. Per capita income was $ 15,873 per year. 9.2% of the total number of families in the locality and 13.2% of the total population were below the poverty line at the time of the census, with 15.9% of those under the age of 18 and 10.6% of those aged 65 and over.
