Alexey Potapov as part of Torpedo on October 27, 2011

Alexey Potapov began his professional career in 2007 as part of his native Torpedo in Nizhny Novgorod , speaking before this for his farm club. In his debut season, Alexey spent 4 matches on the court, without gaining a single point. The following season, Potapov also failed to score effective actions on the court, but already in the 2009/10 season, he finally scored his first goal in the Torpedo team. Also in that season, Alexey scored 33 (13 + 20) points in 27 matches held for the Chaika Youth Hockey League club.

The following season, Potapov played with varying success in all three major leagues of Russia, after which the management of the Nizhny Novgorod club decided to extend the contract with the player [1] .

From November 2017, the hockey player moved to the Ak Bars of Kazan, as he practically did not receive playing time in his torpedo.

In May 2019, Alexey became a player in Avant-garde , the contract was signed for 2 years. [2]

International

As part of the Russian national team, Alexei Potapov took part in the 2009 World Youth Championship, in which he, together with the team, won bronze medals, gaining 2 (0 + 2) points in 6 matches held.
