History

The first documented mention of the village is found in the Cameral Description of the Crimea ... 1784, judging by which, in the last period of the Crimean Khanate, Otar (recorded as Oglan-Eli ) entered Karaul Kadylyk of Perekop Kaymakanism [5] . After the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Empire (8) April 19, 1783 [6] , (8) February 19, 1784, by registered decree of Catherine II to the Senate , the Tauride Region was formed on the territory of the former Crimean Khanate and the village was assigned to the Evpatoria district [7] . After Pavlovsky reforms, from 1796 to 1802 it was part of the Akmechet district of Novorossiysk province [8] . According to the new administrative division, after the creation of the Tauride province on October 8 (20), 1802 [9] , Otar was included in the Khorotokiyatsky volost of Yevpatoriya district.

According to the Vedomosti on volosts and villages, in Yevpatoriya district with an indication of the number of yards and souls ... dated April 19, 1806 in the village of Otar there were 4 yards and 21 Crimean Tatar [10] . Apparently, due to the emigration of the Crimean Tatars to Turkey [11] , the village soon became empty and on the map of 1817 it does not exist at all, and on the map of 1842 the ruins of the village of Otar are indicated [12] , as well as on the three-verst map of 1865-1876 [13] .
