Biography
Born in the family of a military priest. After graduating from the Nizhny Novgorod Arakcheevsky Cadet Corps and the Noble Regiment , in 1846 he was released as ensign in the Life Guards Volyn Regiment . From 1851 to 1853 he was seconded to the Second Cadet Corps as an educator . In 1853 he returned to his regiment as headquarters captain .
From 1854 to 1859 he commanded a company of the Life Guards of the Volyn Regiment. At the head of the reserve company of the Life Guards of the Volyn Regiment in 1854 - 1855 he participated in the Crimean War . From June 24 to September 14, 1856 N.S. Tsytovich, at the head of the company of the Life Guards of the Volyn Regiment, was in Moscow as part of the Troops of the Guards and Grenadier Corps for the coronation of Emperor Alexander II [1] .
In 1859, he was appointed commander of the 1st Kronstadt Linear Name of Emperor Alexander of the 2nd Battalion , with renaming as majors . In 1861 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and was seconded to the Headquarters of the Separate Corps of the Internal Guard .
Since 1863 he commanded the Ivangorod fortress battalion . From 1863 to 1864, as part of the troops of the Warsaw Military District, he participated in campaigns against the Polish rebels .
In 1866, he was promoted to colonel for his diligent service and, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Troops in the Kingdom of Poland , was appointed provisional provincial military chief for recruiting the city of Warsaw .
From 1866 to 1879 he was appointed commander of the Warsaw Fortress Battalion, Ivangorodsky and Novogeorgievsky Fortress Regiments , as well as the head of the Novogeorgievsky Military Hospital.
In 1866, Viceroy of the Kingdom of Poland , Field Marshal Count F.F. Berg - “for the good condition of the Warsaw fortress battalion and its subordinate teams as well as the exemplary command of the one” N. Tsytovich was "thanked" by the troops of the Warsaw Military District [1] .
In 1878, the commander of the troops of the Warsaw Military District , adjutant general , Count P.E. Kotzebue - “for the successful adoption of teams of reserve lower ranks and the formation of four Novogeorgievsky fortress regiments from the former reserve battalions, as well as conducting all correspondence related to this matter” N. S. Tsytovich was declared "Special Thanks" in an order for the troops of the same district [1] .
In 1879, for the distinction in service, he was promoted to major general , with the appointment of commander of the 1st Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division . From September 29, 1886 to March 27, 1887 and from March 8, 1888 to April 23, 1891 N.S. Tsytovich served as commander of the 4th Infantry Division [1] . For 1891 N.S. Tsytovich was also the chairman of the Construction and Economic Commission for the construction of barracks in the city of Lomza [2] .
October 16, 1891 N.S. Tsytovich was promoted to lieutenant general .
He lived in the city of St. Petersburg , where he died in 1893 .
