Cilician Peninsula - a peninsula in Turkey , in the southern part of Asia Minor . It penetrates the Mediterranean Sea for almost 100 km between the Bay of Mersin and Antalya Bay .

The territory of the peninsula is occupied by the Tasheli Plateau and the southern spurs of the Taurus Mountains . The maximum height is 2257 m. There are manifestations of karst . In the coastal strip maquis grows, above - deciduous and coniferous forests .
