Biography
Born in the family of a real school teacher M. Zamenhof , he was the youngest brother of the creator of Esperanto L. Zamenhof , with whom he was in a very warm relationship. Since childhood, he studied Esperanto and took an active part in the international Esperanto movement. A doctor by training, he served in the Russian army, rose to the rank of colonel , died in 1916 near Dvinsk.
