Adenoma of the sebaceous glands is a benign tumor of the skin that develops from the glandular or ductal epithelium [1] of the sebaceous glands and, as a rule, is characterized by slow growth. Usually it looks like pink, skin-colored, or a yellowish papule or nodule [2] [3] .

Pathological significance
By itself, the adenoma of the sebaceous glands does not have much pathological significance (the prognosis for surgical treatment is favorable). However, it may be associated with Muir-Torre syndrome , a hereditary disease that predisposes to cancer [4] . Thus, timely diagnosis of adenoma of the sebaceous glands may be a decisive factor for saving the patient's life.
This pathology is not associated with tuberous sclerosis .
Treatment
Surgical treatment. With adequate removal of the neoplasm, relapse does not occur (observation period is one year) [5] .
