Participation in elections

In the parliamentary elections of 1998, the “New Force” movement participated in the “Democratic Convention of Moldova” bloc. The bloc gained 18.16% of votes and 24 mandates in the parliament of the Republic of Moldova .

At the general local elections of 1999, the Movement “New Force” participated in the Centrist Alliance of Moldova:

  • Municipal and county councils - 20.51% of the vote and 64 mandates.
  • City and village councils - 19.89% of the vote and 1,214 mandates.
  • 93 bloc candidates were elected mayors .

In the 2001 parliamentary elections, the New Force Movement participated in the Electoral Bloc “Alliance of Braghis”. The bloc scored 13.36% of the votes and 19 seats in parliament .

In the general local elections of 2003, the New Force Movement participated independently.

  • City and village councils - 0.02% of the vote and 2 seats.

In the 2011 general local elections , the New Force Movement participated in the Third Force Electoral Bloc .

  • Municipal and district councils - 0.38% of votes and 2 mandates
  • City and village councils - 0.62% of the votes and 39 mandates
  • 1 bloc candidate was elected mayor .

The leader of the movement, Valery Pleshka , participated in the election of the mayor of Chisinau in 2011 and participated in the candidate from the Third Force election bloc, receiving 0.14% or 493 votes.
