Career

Artyom Chernov began his professional career in 1999 as part of his native Novokuznetsk Metallurg , speaking earlier for his farm club. In his debut season, Artem spent 14 matches on the court, gaining 5 (2 + 3) points. The following year, in the NHL Draft, he was selected in the 5th round under the total number 162 by the Dallas Stars club [1] , after which in the 2000/01 season he became one of the most productive Kuzni players, gaining 32 (15 + 17) points in 44 matches played.

Thanks to his successful game, before the start of the next season, Omsk Avangard drew attention to Chernov, however, the leadership of the Novokuznetsk club refused to let its young leader go from the team, so Artyom had to secretly leave the city [2] , after which he signed a contract with hawks " [3] . In the first two seasons in Omsk, Chernov looked pretty good, in 104 matches he scored 32 (16 + 16) points, but in the 2003/04 season he stopped falling into the line-up and on December 22, 2003 was rejected by the club [4] .

Before the start of the 2004/05 season, Artyom entered into an agreement with Spartak Moscow , but after spending only 6 matches in his team, he left the club and joined the Minsk club Yunost-Minsk . As part of the Belarusian club, Chernov became the winner of Extraliga for two years in a row, and in the 2005/06 season he won the title of top scorer of the tournament, gaining 65 (27 +38) points in 63 matches played. In 2006, Artyom signed a contract with the Moscow Region HK MVD , where for the two held seasons he scored 59 (29 + 30) points in 100 matches.

Before the start of the Kontinental Hockey League debut season, Chernov extended his agreement with the club for another year [5] , but during the pre-season fees he received a serious injury [6] , which did not allow him to play hockey for the next two years [7] . On August 6, 2010, Artyom entered into a trial agreement with Dynamo Moscow [8] , and a month later he signed a full-fledged one-year contract with the club [9] , after which he was sent to Dynamo from Tver for recruitment. As part of the VHL club, Chernov scored 25 (14 +11) points in 34 matches, after which he was called back to Moscow.

Before the start of the 2011/12 season , the Dynamo management decided to extend the agreement with the player [10] .

In the season 2012/13 he played for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . At the end of the season, the club decided not to renew the contract with him [11] , and Chernov moved to Avtomobilist [12] .
