Calgary Hitmen is a junior hockey club playing in the Western Hockey League (WHL) . The club is located in Calgary , Alberta , Canada .

History
Before the founding of Hitman, there were two WHL teams in Calgary: from 1966-1977. - “Calgary Centenials” (currently based in American Kennevik under the name “ Tri-City Americans ”), in 1977-1987. - “Calgary Wranglers” (now Lethbridge Hurricanes , Lethbridge ).
The founder of Hitman is considered to be Graham James. In 1994, he was able to attract 18 investors to the project of the new club, which included NHL star players Joe Sakik and Theoren Fleury , as well as the famous wrestler , Calgary-born Bret Hart . In honor of the latter, whose nickname in the ring was the hitman ( Eng. Hitman ), the team decided to give a name and logo.
Calgary Hitman has won the WHL Championship twice (1999, 2010). So far, they have not succeeded in winning the memorial cup .
