Youth

Richard Beyshart (birth name - John Richard Beyshart ) was born in the family of journalist Harry Beyshart and was one of five children (he had a sister and three brothers, one of whom, Robert, died at nine months old) [1] . His mother died during childbirth, so the father had to send the children to the shelter because of the inability to simultaneously engage in their education and work [1] . At age 12, Richard decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, who then worked as the editor of the Sunday newspaper THE ZANESVILLE OHIO TIMES SIGNAL , and became a newspaper reporter and broadcaster on the radio. He worked with his older brother in a drainage company. He also participated in the campaign of his uncle for mayor of Zanesville , who eventually won the election [1] . After graduating from high school, working in a newspaper, he learned about fraud in the city hall, which caused a major scandal that caused him to be fired (he hit the detective conducting the investigation) [1] .

Career

In 1938, Richard Bayshart joined the troupe of the Philadelphia Theater Hedgerow Theater , where he performed until 1942 [2] . He later lands on Broadway .
