Biography
GITIS graduated. He studied under Professor Alexander Arder .
- 1953-1959 played at the Estonian Drama Theater in Tallinn,
- 1959-1994 - at the theater "Estonia" (National Opera), first sang the parts in operettas, then moved to the opera. Among the roles: Rodolfo (“Bohemia” by J. Puccini), Schweik (“The Good Soldier Schweik” Spadavecchia), Othello (“Othello” J. Verdi), Dick Johnson (“Girl from the Golden West” by Puccini), Franz Bonnius (“Barbara” von Tiesenhousen ”by Tubin), Shuisky and Golitsyn (“ Boris Godunov ”and“ Khovanshchina ”by M.P. Mussorgsky), Don Jerome (Prokofiev“ Betrothal in a Monastery ”), Köster (“ Spring ”by Winter) and many others.
Also starred in films and television shows:
