Yakutia (newspaper)

Yakutia is a republican newspaper in Russian published in Yakutia . The founder of the newspaper is the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In Soviet times, it was an organ of the Yakutsk regional committee of the CPSU , the Supreme Council and the Council of Ministers of the Yakut ASSR .

In 1975, the circulation of the newspaper was 61 thousand copies [1] . In 2010, the full circulation of 1,573,204 copies with 242 numbers [2] .

The newspaper has been published since March 4, 1917. Originally called "Social Democrat." Power changed and the newspaper changed with it. Only one name can be used to judge what historical processes took place in the republic and the country: Social Democrat, Yakutskaya Pravda, Red North, Lensky Communard, Autonomous Yakutia, Socialist Yakutia, Republic of Sakha "And just" Yakutia. " Later, the name of the newspaper repeatedly changed. In 1932 it began to be called "Socialist Yakutia." In the 1990s, it received a modern name.

In 1967 she was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor .
