Evan Thomas Peters ( born Evan Thomas Peters , born January 20, 1987 [1] , St. Louis , Missouri , USA ) is an American film and television actor . Best known for his role as Peter Maximoff, better known as “ Mercury ” in the films X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019), as well as by participating in the television series anthology , " American Horror Story " (2011-2018).

Early Years and Education
Evan Peters was born on January 20, 1987 in St. Louis , Missouri and raised in the suburbs of Balvin [2] , Evan Peters is the son of Julia and Phil Peters [1] . His father is vice president of the Charles Stuart Mott Foundation [3] . Peters was raised in the Roman Catholic faith and attended a Catholic school [4] . He has a brother Andrew and a sister Michelle [1] . In 2001, Peters moved with his family to Grand Blanc, Michigan , where he studied acting [3] .
He was also a member of the Grand Blanc Community High School , before moving to Los Angeles at the age of 15 with his mother, where he continued his acting career [1] . Peters attended Burbank School in until the second grade, and later began studying at home [3] .
Career
Evan Peters made his screen debut in 2004 with a minor role in the comedy Night Party . In the same year, he starred in the independent film “Saving Adam,” which earned him the Phoenix Film Festival award in the Breakthrough of the Year category [5] . He also had supporting roles in several films, such as American Crime (2007), Never Give Up (2008), Night Gardens (2008), and Kick-Ass (2010).
On television, he starred in the short-lived TV series “ Days "(2004) and" Invasion "(2005-2006). From 2008 to 2009, he appeared in six episodes of the television series " One Tree Hill ". His other television appearances include guest roles on the television series Ghost Talking , House Doctor , Thinking Like a Criminal , and Office .
A breakthrough in Peters' career was his role in the television series Anthology Channel FX , American Horror Story . In the first season, he played the teenager, sociopath and killer of Tate Langdon [6] , in the second season of Keith Walker, mistakenly accused of killing his wife, this role earned him the Sputnik Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a mini-series or the television movie ” [7] [8] .
In the third season, he played Kyle Spencer, in the fourth season, Jimmy Darling, a circus artist with deformed hands, in the fifth season of serial killer James Patrick March and in the sixth season of Edward Phillip Mott and Rory Monaghan [9] .
In the seventh season, the actor played Kai Anderson, a psychopath and leader of the killer cult, trying to seize power in Brookfield Heights with the help of massacres. This role brought him a nomination for the Saturn Award as Best Supporting Actor [10] , and a nomination for the Select Television Critics Award [11] , in 2018.
In 2013, Peters starred in the independent comedy Adult World , along with John Cusack and Emma Roberts [12] . Peters played the mutant Mercury in the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) and the sequel X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) [13] [14] .
In 2015, Evan Peters starred in the horror film Lazarus Effect and the dramatic film Safe Lighting .
Personal life
Since 2012, Evan Peters has been dating actress Emma Roberts [15] , whom he met on the set of the film “ Adult World ” (2013). In March 2013, the couple became engaged [15] , but they soon ended their relationship in June 2015 [16] . However, already in October, the couple resumed relations [17] , which, according to the sources of the US Weekly publication, ceased again in March 2019 and the couple broke up [18] [19] . After that, Peters told GQ that he would take a break in his acting career [20] and, in particular, would not appear for the first time in the new season of American Horror Story [21] .
