Geography and tourism
The city of Yacuiba is located in the southeast of Bolivia, near its border with Argentina. Administratively, he is part of the department of Tarija . The city lies in the foothills of the Andes , on the eastern slope of the Serranha del Aguarage ridge, at an altitude of 620-680 meters above sea level. Yacuiba is the main city of the eponymous municipality and the center of the province of Gran Chaco in the department of Tarija. The city has an international airport. Railway connection with other cities of Bolivia.
From the city of Yacuiba, tourist expeditions are organized to the world's largest marshy region - Pantanal , in the Gran Chaco region. The city is home to the Football Club Petrolero , which in 2012 made its way to the Higher Professional Division of the Bolivian Championship .
