Nafusi (also Nefus , Jerby , Jabal Nafusi ) is one of the North Berber languages belonging to the Afrasian macrofamily. Distributed in the north-west of Libya , as well as in the surrounding areas of Tunisia (in the main way on the island of Djerba ). The number of carriers is about 210 thousand people, of which 184 thousand people - in Libya and 26 thousand people - in Tunisia. The following dialects are distinguished: zuara (zuraa), tamezret (duinn) and jerbi (jerba).
