Ngambai (also gamba , gamblai , sara-ngambai ) is one of the Sarah languages belonging to the branch of the bongo-bagirmi of the central Sudanese family of the Nilo-Saharan macro-family. Distributed in the southwestern part of Chad ( West Logon and East Logon regions ), as well as in some surrounding areas of Cameroon (Mayo-Rey Department of the Northern Region) and Nigeria. Almost completely understandable with the language of varnish, which is possibly a dialect of ngambai. According to 2013 data, the number of carriers in Chad is about 1320 thousand people.
