Kos ( French Causses ) - a group of plateaus in France , in the south of the Central French Massif .

Plateau Kos.
The plateaus are composed of a thick stratum of thin-plate limestones , crumpled into gentle folds. The height of the plateau reaches 1200 m. Karst relief forms are widespread; numerous karst sources. The plateaus have steep edges, dissected by deep (up to 500-700 m) and narrow river valleys . Sparse mainly xerophytic grass - shrub vegetation , small massifs of oak , beech and pine forests .
