Tikhonova Pustyn - junction railway station of the Kiev direction of the Moscow railway . Located in the village of Tikhonov Pustyn, Moscow region, urban district of Kaluga, Kaluga region. It is part of the Moscow-Smolensk Center for the Organization of Work of Railway Stations DTSS-3 of the Moscow Directorate of Traffic Management. The main application is the district, in terms of work assigned to class 2.

To the south of the station is the interchange of two railway lines:
- double-track electrified radial Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway : Moscow-Pass.-Kievskaya - Kaluga-2 - Sukhinichi-Glavnye - Bryansk-1-Orlovsky and further to Kiev;
- single-track partially electrified chord line Vyazma - Kaluga-1 - Tula-1-Kurskaya - Uzlovaya-1 , only the section from Muratovka station to Kaluga-1 is electrified and double-track for the movement of electric trains from / to Moscow and from / to Kaluga-2 and beyond, a part of the line was also electrified from Muratovka station towards Vyazma (to the Polotnyany Zavod station) for the movement of freight trains under electric locomotive traction in the Kopytsevo - Polotnyany Zavod section.
From Tikhonov Pustyn station to odd trains (from Moscow), traffic in three directions is possible: the main passage to Kaluga-2 and further to Bryansk; two single-track CERs (one of which is used only for freight traffic) to the Muratovka station in the direction of st. Kaluga-1 and further to Tula; single-track electrified CER at Kopyttsevo station in the direction of Vyazma, used for the movement of freight trains from / to st. Tikhonov desert in the Vyazemsky side.
Electric trains operate:
- Moscow-Pass.-Kievskaya - Kaluga-1 (main, 7 pairs per day, having a stop at the station);
- Moscow-Pass.-Kievskaya - Kaluga-2 (1 pair, previously there were much more);
- Aprelevka - Kaluga-1 (1 pair, reduced flights from / to Aprelevka depot);
- Crosses - Kaluga-1 (1 pair, flight from / to the Big Ring of the Moscow Railway to Moscow).
Long-distance passenger trains go mainly to Kaluga-2 and beyond. The Express-train Moscow-Pass.-Kievskaya-Kaluga-1 and one accelerated train Moscow-Pass.-Kievskaya-Kaluga-1 do not have stops at the station.
