Pamela "Pam" Ferris ( eng. Pamela "Pam" Ferris ; born 11 May 1948 [1] , Hannover , West Germany ) - Welsh actress. Best known for the roles of Ma Larkin in the television series Tender May Flowers, Laura Time in the television series Rosemary and Time, and Marjorie Dursley in the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban .

Biography
Early years
Ferris was born in Lower Saxony , Germany at the time when her father served in the British Air Force . Her childhood actress spent in the village of Aberkenfig , located in the district of Bridgend , Wales .
The father, Fred Ferris, was a policeman, the mother, Ann Perkins, was in charge of the family bakery [2] . Her family emigrated to New Zealand when she was thirteen years old. Ferris returned to the UK at the age of twenty. [3]
Career
In her younger years, Ferris played in the Mercury Theater in Auckland [4] .
In 1991, Ferris plays the role of Ma Larkin in the series “Gentle May Flowers”, which brings her great fame. She also played on other television shows, including “Connie,” “ Not the same oranges ... ”, “Where the Heart Is,” “Rosemary and Time,” and others.
In 1996, Pam played the cruel Mrs Tranchbol in the movie " Matilda ." In 2004 she appeared in the film “ Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban ” in the role of the evil aunt Marge.
She also performed in productions for BBC Radio 4.
In 2008, she played Mrs General on the television series Little Dorrit . In 2009, she appeared in the final series of the comedy "Gavin and Stacy." In 2011, she played the role of Baba in the TV series Luther .
Personal life
Lives in the village of Elham, Kent [5] . Since 1986, married to actor Roger Frost. They have no children. Is a vegetarian [6] .
