Kirillovsky Compound (Moscow)

Kirillovsky Compound - Compound of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery , located in the Moscow Kremlin , to the left of the Spassky Gate .

The Russian archaeologist and historian Zabelin believed that the stone chambers of the courtyard appeared no later than 1571 and that the remodeled Tarokan chambers could belong to the courtyard. According to the documents of the 1730s. in addition to the church, there were two cell buildings, two stone dryers and two gate chambers (a gate to the street and to the back stables). All buildings were demolished in 1776 in preparation for the construction of the Grand Kremlin Palace according to the project of V. Bazhenov .
