Têtu (from the French - “stubborn”) [1] - French monthly magazine, mainly aimed at LGBT audience. Among the print LGBT media in France, it occupies a leading position in the market [2] .

The monthly circulation in 2009 amounted to 40,000 copies. The magazine was founded in July 1995 by Pascal Loubet and Didier Lestrade. Since February 2009, the magazine has supported two websites for readers: tetu.com for gays and tetue.com for lesbians , as well as its own web-based radio channel.
In January 2013, Têtu was bought for one euro by businessman Jean-Jacques Augier, who is a friend of French President Francois Hollande [2] [3] . The Huffington Post reported that as of January 2013, the magazine annually brings one and a half million euros in losses [2] .
On its pages, the publication regularly publishes articles on cultural events in France related to the LGBT topics of such authors as Frederic Mitterrand (former Minister of Culture of France), Christine Ango (writer). Since 2009, the magazine has published interviews with Pedro Almodovar , Ewan McGregor , Catherine Deneuve , Princess Stefania of Monaco , Jean-Paul Gaultier , Adil Rami , Antonio Banderas , Milen Farmer . The ongoing Têtu + column is dedicated to AIDS news, prevention and treatment.
