Ditammari (also tamari , somba , tamberma , etc.) is one of the languages of the gur group belonging to the Savannah family of the Niger-Congolese language macro-family. Distributed in the north-west of Benin , in the Atacor department (Bucombe and Nutingu communes), as well as in the surrounding areas of Togo ( Kara region). The number of carriers is 122,600, of which 88,300 in Benin and 34,300 in Togo. Among native speakers, French is common, as well as the languages of neighboring ethnic groups.
