Story
The plot of Infinity Blade 2 is a sequel to Infinity Blade . The young warrior Siris travels with the Blade of Infinity (actually Infinity Blade) - the only weapon in the world capable of killing the immortals, which he took from the Tsar-God in the first part of the game. Siris wants to overthrow the tyranny of the immortals, for which he needs to know the location of the Guardian of Secrets, the creator of the Blade of Infinity and the ancient enemy of the immortals. His friend also travels with him, about which little is said in the game, named Isa. The road leads them to an information dealer, Saydhi, who loves fights. If Siris defeats her champions, she will answer any of his questions. Siris wins duels, but by answering a question about the whereabouts of the Guardian of Secrets, Saidhi tries to kill him, since she herself is immortal, and the Guardian is their enemy, but Syris manages to defeat her too. Then, finding a pedestal with a niche that repeats the shape of the Blade of Infinity, Siris inserts it there. The pedestal goes underground, and suddenly the Tsar-God appears, once killed by Syris. The enemy has returned to life, because it is immortal. Having taken away his sword from Siris, the Tsar-God tried to kill him, but Isa, appearing on the roof of a nearby house, herself killed Siris with a crossbow shot. Suddenly, the hero comes to life in an unknown place and realizes that he himself is immortal (for more on this, see the book Infinity Blade: Awakening, in the game it's just a prologue).
After her resurrection, Siris goes to the Crypt of Tears in Sarantii - the citadel, which Saydhi pointed to him. He knows that in the castle, in prison, there is a certain Keeper of Secrets who can help him get rid of the tyranny of the Immortals. After rising to the top of the crypt tower, Siris meets Thain, the owner of the fortress and the head of one of the immortal houses, there. Siris triumphs, but the fallen Thain says that a mortal cannot open a dungeon. Siris touches the seal and dies, but is reborn. Now he is faced with battles with three Blood Guard ( eng. Blood Sentinels ), each of which protects the seal of the locking dungeon. During the battle with the first krovozhrazh, the Archivist, a dialogue takes place in which the Archivist says that he recognized a certain Osara in Syris. After defeating the blood guards, Siris returns to the top of the tower and again meets Thain there. Siris exclaims that he has already killed Tain, to which he notices that Siris died before his eyes. Also, Thane says that if Siris wants to free the Guardian in order to know his secrets, then he is an even bigger fool than Thain had assumed. After defeating him again, Siris goes down to prison under the tower and sees the Keeper. Wounded Thain jumps into the dungeon after the player, they again begin to fight, but the Keeper intervenes in the battle and kills Thain forever, showing his power to destroy the immortals. The keeper tells Cyris that he was once his friend, the immortal Osar, but apparently lost his memory. The Guardian also explains that in order to free him, it is necessary for another immortal to take his place, and offers to bring Rydriar (the real name of the Tsar-God) into prison, but it is necessary that he be alive.
Siris returns to Saydhi Manor, where at the beginning of the game he met with the King-God. There he knocks on the bell, calling for the Reidriar to appear. He appears with his servants in front of the hero and the battle begins, as a result of which the Tsar-God lost, and Siris, snatching the Blade of Infinity from him, stunned him with a blow of the hilt. The hero delivers the enemy to the castle, to the Keeper, but the Keeper deceives him and takes possession of the Blade of Infinity. After that, the Guardian tells us that it was Osar (Siris) who put him in this prison, locks the hero and the Tsar-God in the prison, where he himself once sat and leaves ...
In the last frame, on the approaches to the castle, Isa appears.
Characters
Sariis ( born Siris ) - the main character of the series. In the first part, he considers himself to be a descendant of the dynasty, called upon to fight with the King-God. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc., having reached a certain age, set off on a journey in order to reach the Tsar-God and challenge him, hoping to win a duel. It is Siris who, after many generations of his ancestors, overcomes the Tsar-God. With the development of the plot, he learns that he was once a tyrant-immortal named Osar the Vile ( born Ausar The Vile ), but was thrown by Reidriar and lost his memory, and all those whom he considered his ancestors are himself, just every time after losing he was reborn as a baby with an erased memory, and his supposed “mother” was changing memory, so the girl began to think that the baby in her arms was her son from the previous hero. By Reidriaru he constantly went to battle, because he hated him for his defeat, and even erasing the memory after rebirth could not overcome this hatred.
Tsar-God or Radriar ( eng. Raidriar, The God King ) - the antagonist of the first two parts of the game. The Reidriar is the head of the Pantheon: a conglomerate of the seven strongest immortals, due to which he received the name Tsar-God. He is the ruler of vast territories and the owner of the Blade of Infinity, one of the pillars of his power. In the first part of the game, he sat in his fortress and waited until another hero from the Siris clan got to him (he also did not know that Saris was Osar, considering that this whole clan was the descendants of some immortal who had violated taboo and got a child from mortal). Each death of representatives of this kind charged the Blade of Infinity with force, thanks to which he could kill the immortals. But in order for this power to be earned, another, last, sacrifice was needed - Siris. That is why the Reidriar did not die in the first part: The blade was not yet charged. But Siris, unwittingly, still charged him in the dungeons of the Tsar-God castle, killing them with one of his ancestors, who had gone over to the side of Reidriar. Watching Cyris on his journey, Reidriar realized that he was Osar, and Saydhi's estate was a trap for catching Osar and his final murder with the help of Blade, but his plans were hampered by Isa.
Isa ( eng. Isa ) - a companion of Syris at the very beginning of the game. In the book Infinity Blade: Awakening it is told that she tried to steal the Blade of Infinity from Syris, but when she did not succeed in this, she began to travel with him with the aim of taking the Blade from his corpse when he was killed. Until then, she promised to help Syris travel. It was Isa who suggested that information about the Guardian of Secrets can be obtained from Saydhi. She guessed during their journey that Siris is immortal, that is why she killed him at the beginning of the game so that the Reidriar did not kill him with the activated Infinity Blade forever. She also dragged the body of Syris to the “Temple of Rebirth”, in which he is reborn every time during the game (in the game this moment is omitted - Siris constantly appears alone and guesses that he is immortal, whereas in the book of Isa he told all this to him his first rebirth).
Thane ( eng. Thane ) - the keeper of the Crypt of Tears, in which the Keeper of the Mysteries is sharpened, one of the seven members of the Pantheon. Represents himself as “the first blood of the Immortals, the supreme lord of House IX, and the shield of the Great Covenant” ( “first blood of the Deathless, high lord of House Ix, and the shield of the Great Pact” ). Killed by the Keeper of Secrets at the end of the game.
Archivist ( eng. Archivist ) - the first blood drain, guard of the triangular seal. He is an eternal man - he is not reborn as immortals, but lives an unusually long time for a mortal (in English he was called immortal, while immortals are deathless). Archivist says that once it was the home of the most vile evil that the world wore. Many centuries ago, the Reidriar defeated him on the Korin plains and it was gone. Many believed that evil was defeated, but the Archivist wondered if this was true. It was about Osar Ugly, whom he recognized in Syris during the battle. Killed by Syris.
Stone Demon ( eng. Stone Demon ) - the second blood drain, guard of the round seal. The only plot character without dialogues. Killed by Syris.
Goliath M-Ex ( eng. MX-Goliath ) - the third blood gorge, guard of the square seal. In fact, bloodthirst is an exo-pilot sitting inside a Goliath robot. Meeting him, Siris invites the exo-pilot to take his side and fight against the immortals. But the pilot refuses, saying that he is not interested in their feuds, and his highest goal is to protect the Great Pact and this tower from anyone who encroaches on them. After this, the battle begins. At the end of the fight, Siris jumped on Goliath and stabbed him with his weapon across from the pilot's cabin, so that the exo-pilot was killed.
Saydhi ( English Saydhi ) - information dealer, one of the immortals. She loves fights, which is why she made a rule that she will answer the question of anyone who defeats her champion. Siris killed in the prologue.
TEL ( eng. TEL ) - transgol, servant of Osara, and later Syris. In the game flashes on some locations, following the distance from Syris. It turns out to talk once when a player collects a set of armor and weapons of Osar the Vile and tries to get into the secret room hidden under the tomb. TEL advises Syris not to go there, as this may bring unpleasant memories (in the room is a statue of Osara and his wife, whom he killed). It was TEL who drags the body of Syris after his death into the rebirth chamber, and it was he who, in the first part of the game, erased his memory and altered the memory of his “mothers”.
Rit ( born Ryth ) - the immortal master of the blade ( born Deathless Blademaster ). He is looking for meetings with Syris from sports interest, as he is the strongest swordsman of the world, and rumors have gone that the nameless immortal with legendary fighting skills is haunting the crypt of the Tears. The Great Covenant and the targets of Syris are not interested in him. Appears under two conditions: Goliath M-Ex's bloodbath must be defeated and at the beginning of the revival Cyris should have lightsaber in his hands or kill Goliath M-Ex after the Archivist and in front of the Stone Demon (the method has been recently discovered). then at the beginning of the revival, his ship flies by and lands in the hangar of Goliath M-Ex, where he can be found.
Gameplay
The gameplay is not much different from the first part , but two new types of weapons added to the game, changing the fighting style - a two-handed weapon (you cannot avoid blows with it, and instead of one block there are three different ones that are used depending on the direction of the enemy's strike) and a pair of weapons (with a pair of weapons, the ability to block attacks is lost, but a third direction appears to dodge). If desired, you can leave the classic weapons (sword and shield). Also added to the game is the ability to use gems, which, when inserted into equipment, provide various effects.
- The whole gameplay is straightforward and goes in circles - rebirths (Rebirth). Upon completion of the revival (the hero dies or passes the storyline) the game begins anew, but with the preservation of objects, money and experience.
- Any battle can be replayed, except for battles with bosses: if a player dies while fighting with blood drafts, he will be reborn and begin his journey anew.
- Management of the game is done using swipe and buttons.
- Swipe - holding your finger across the screen. Each swipe deals different blows: (Top, bottom, right, left, and diagonally)
- The game has three types of protection against enemies. The first one is evasion from a blow, the second one is blocking a blow, the third one is a reflection of a blow from a hero’s weapon using a swipe.
Also in the game there are four types of enemies.
- The first type is regular (regular), and the second is large (large) opponents. They differ in size, as well as in the fact that large enemies have more punches to break through the block. Both are divided into four subtypes:
- with the sword and shield are the most common and balanced opponents, but do not underestimate them: they include Thane and Reidriar;
- with two swords - they cause a lot of weak blows, which quickly breaks the shield, also because of the abundance of acrobatic techniques, it is more difficult to predict the direction of the blow and, accordingly, to dodge or parry it, these include Architist and Rit;
- with a two-handed sword - they often use all sorts of kicks with their feet, which cannot be parried and difficult to evade;
- with a staff - a combination of acrobatics and heavy blows with weapons, among them Saydhi.
- The third type is giants. The giants have one two-handed weapon, which they hit slower than the others, but do a lot of damage. Among them is the Stone Demon.
- Fourth - monsters (monstrosity), which reach enormous sizes. Their blows can not be reflected, without special weapons. Also, they can try to swallow the hero, in this case, you need to quickly tap on the screen (tap - a quick touch of the screen), trying to unclench his jaws, otherwise death is inevitable. Among the monsters is Goliath M-Ex. Also, in the arena a monster always leaves the cage.
