In the army from March 2, 1942 to September 19, 1942 and from February 10, 1943 to May 1, 1944.

On February 15, 1942, the brigade began loading at Anzherskaya station and transferring it to the front, unloaded in Volkhov , where in early March 1942 it became part of the 4th Guards Rifle Corps . It was entered into battle on March 21, 1942 between Posadnikovy Island and Pogost to develop a breakthrough of the 54th Army with the goal of breaking through the enemy’s defenses on the Korodynka River, which the brigade was able to do and on March 24, 1942, was fighting two kilometers south of the village of Konduya, trying to advance in direction of Smerdynia, however, at about those lines it was stopped.

She took part in the Sinyavinsky operation . In September 1942, it operates in the area of the Sinyavino - Mga railway, near the Torfyanik state farm. By September 10, 1942, an order was issued to withdraw the brigade to the Kilosi area for replenishment, but apparently it was not fulfilled, on September 21, 1942, German troops launched a counterattack from near Kelkolovo to the north, split the battle formations of the corps and surrounded the brigade, after which she was virtually destroyed, a large number of personnel were captured. It was understaffed and trained in Kineshma . By directive of the Supreme High Command Headquarters No. 46008 of January 26, 1943, the commander of the Moscow Military District was ordered to fully understaff the brigade by February 1, 1943 and prepare it for dispatch to the front [2] In the first decade of February 1943, it was sent to the front, where it took part in the pursuit of troops the enemy withdrawing troops from the “Demian bag”.

In March 1943, she led the fighting for the seizure of the border: Borok , Somkina Gorushka (south of Penno ) [3] . From March 1 to March 20, 1943, in the battles in the Borok area, only 2,089 people lost and 115 missing, and later in March, April and the first decade of May 1943, 141 people were killed and 54 missing in the village of Yablonovo .

With the beginning of the Leningrad-Novgorod operation, it proceeds to the area of Staraya Russa through the frozen Lake Ilmen .

Since February 22, 1944, being supported by the 37th Tank Regiment , it goes on the offensive on the Bottom , having the 182nd Infantry Division directly attacking the city on its right, took part in the liberation of the city, and the tank landing brigade broke into the very center of the city.

Our brigade was awarded the title of Dnovskaya, and on this occasion we joked with the bitter humor that only soldiers are capable of, that we are truly called Dnovsky insofar as many of us remained at the bottom of Lake Ilmen ... Anatoly Zlobin. "Memory of the Earth"

After the liberation of the Bottom, the brigade continued the offensive, pursuing the retreating enemy, passing south of Porkhov and by March 1944 reached the Velikaya River in the Pushkin Mountains region .

May 1, 1944 turned to the formation of the 321st Infantry Division
