Biography

Purvya Dzhidleyev was born in 1913 in the Khoton of Kelket of the Manychsky ulus of the Astrakhan province.

Since the 30s of the XX century, he worked as a correspondent for the newspaper Ulan Halmg (Red Kalmyk).

In 1939 he was admitted to the USSR Writers Union.

In 1940, he suddenly died.

Creativity

Since 1934, he began his literary work, printing poetry in Kalmyk newspapers. In 1940, the first collection of poems, Our Joy, was released.

Purvya Dzhidleyev was engaged in translations of the works of M. Gorky into the Kalmyk language . He translated the works of A. S. Pushkin "Snowstorm", "Undertaker". Known for his translation into the Kalmyk language of the song “ Katyusha ”.
