Biography
Around 42 BC. er Marc Luri was governor of Sardinia with the authority of a proprietor and served Octavian. [1] This year, Sextus Pompey Magnus (son of Pompey the Great ), who captured Sicily , sent his military commander Menodor to conquer this province and oust Luria [2] [3] [4] .
Mark Luriy commanded the right wing of the Octavian fleet in the Battle of the Action on September 2, 31 BC. e [5] [6] . Marc and Octavian defeated and captured Guy Sosia , commander of the wing of the fleet of Mark Antony (and the captive Sosius received life and freedom only through the intercession of Lucius Arruntia [7] [8] ).
