About the album
The song "Jailbreak" was released single before the release of the album (in June 1976). The video clip for this song was shot in March 1976 (directed by Paul Drain ) for the Australian television show Countdown. In 2005, he entered the Family Jewels video collection. “Ride On” was also featured on the Who Made Who album, which was released in 1986 as the soundtrack for Stephen King's “ Maximum Acceleration ”.
During the recording of the album, the song “ I'm a Rebel ” was also recorded, authored by the elder brother of Angus and Malcolm Young , Alexander Young . However, the song was not included in any version of the album and was never released by AC / DC . In 1980, the German heavy metal band Accept released an album , the title track of which was the song.
The album received platinum status in the United States and was sold in a circulation of 6 million copies [1] .
International Edition
7 of the 9 tracks of the international edition coincide with the Australian one, the song “Rocker” from the TNT album and the first release of “Love at First Feel” are also added there. On the international version of the album there are no songs “RIP (Rock in Peace)” and “Jailbreak” from the Australian version (the latter was released in 1984 on the mini-album '74 Jailbreak ). The song “RIP (Rock in Peace)” has long been one of the few AC / DC songs not officially released to an international audience, until in 2009 it was included in the Backtracks collection. On the international edition of the album, the songs “ Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap ”, “Ain't No Fun (Waiting 'Round to Be a Millionaire)” and “Rocker” were abridged compared to their original versions, however, on the reissued in 1994 versions of the album present both versions of these songs.
