Biography
Vasil Tga was the adopted son of Vasil Goh , after whose death the principality of Ephrates inherited. The first time after the death of his father, he, along with his mother, sought support from the Principality of Antioch, but after his death they tried to enlist the support of the Atabeg Bursuk. In 1117, he was captured by the former ally of his father Baldwin Bourges. Being held captive, Vasil Tga under torture was forced to agree to the transfer of the principality, subject to the free withdrawal of the Armenian population in Cilicia. According to Mateos Urhaeci , after Tga abdicated the principality, he went to Konstantinotul, where he was met very honorably by the emperor, as well as the troops who accompanied him . [1] His descendants, later known as Kokkovasiliya , gave a number of famous Byzantine commanders. [2]
