Biography
Born on December 15, 1922 in the city of Kokand, now in the Ferghana Region ( Uzbekistan ). In childhood, he lived in Alma-Ata and Aktyubinsk ( Kazakhstan ), since 1935 - in Irkutsk . In 1940 he graduated from 10 classes of school number 11 in Irkutsk .
In the army since August 1940. In November 1941 he graduated from the Borisoglebsk Military Aviation Pilot School . In 1941-1943 - pilot of the 1st separate training aviation regiment (in the Volga Military District ).
Member of World War II : in September 1943 - May 1945 - pilot and flight commander of the 58th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment. He fought on the Central , Belorussian and 1st Belorussian fronts. He participated in the Chernihiv-Pripyat , Gomel-Rechitsa , Rogachev-Zhlobin , Belorussian , Warsaw-Poznan and Berlin operations. He made about 130 sorties on the Il-2 attack aircraft for delivering assault and bombing strikes against enemy manpower and equipment. December 15, 1943 was wounded in the head.
For courage and heroism shown in the battles, Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 15, 1946 guards senior lieutenant Bogdanov Anatoly Sergeyevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal .
After the war, he continued to serve in the Air Force as a flight commander and as the head of the air rifle service of assault air regiments (in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany , Carpathian and Trans-Baikal Military Districts). In 1952 he graduated from the Lipetsk Higher Officer Flight Tactical Improvement Courses . He served in the Air Force as the head of the air-rifle service of an assault air regiment and as deputy chief of staff of a bomber aviation regiment for reconnaissance and aerial photography (in the Baltic Military District ).
He died on December 19, 1954 in the city of Kedainiai ( Lithuania ). He was buried at the Preobrazhensky cemetery in Moscow.

Memory
- Lane in Irkutsk is named after Bogdanov [1] . On May 8, 1967, Svyaz lane was renamed Bogdanov Lane.
- In Irkutsk, on the building of secondary school No. 11 , in which he studied, a memorial plaque was erected in memory of him [2] .
