Biography
Timofey Bembeev was born in 1930 in the village of Zurmut in a peasant family. In 1943, during the deportation of Kalmyks, he was exiled to Siberia. In 1949, Timofei Bembeev began his career in one of the state farms of the Ulyanovsk region (today - the Omsk region ) of the Omsk region . In the same year, he began to collaborate with the newspapers Omskaya Pravda , Young Siberian , Caspian Commune and State Farm Newspaper , publishing essays on the life of collective farmers.
Returning to Kalmykia in 1957, Timofei Bembeev began working in the editorial office of the republican newspaper.
In 1972 he graduated from the Maxim Gorky Literary Institute .
Creativity
In 1957, Timofei Bembeev first published his essay in Kalmyk language fable "Tricks of the Hare." In the same year, for the story, "Lotus" won second place in the literary competition.
In 1960, Timothy Bembeev published the first collection of his poems. In 1965 he wrote the novel "Lotus" dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
During his literary work, he published over 30 books in Kalmyk and Russian.
He translated the works of A. S. Pushkin , M. Yu. Lermontov , A. Twardovsky , poets of Mongolia , Buryatia , Armenia , Ukraine , Moldova , Abkhazia , Chuvashia into the Kalmyk language .
