General Information
The tournament was organized on the eve of the 1992 season at the Amagasaki Memorial Sports Center , as an additional competition for local tennis players in the Asian region in the spring. The prize was held immediately after another Japanese tournament - the Tokyo Toray Pan Pacific Open .
After three years of existence, the competition was closed.
Women's tennis of this level returned to Osaka only in 2009, when the HP Open was held on the courts of the Utsubo Tennis Center .
Winners and Finalists
Not a single tennis player was able to visit the finals of the single events more than once. It was in a single tournament in the decisive match for the only time in the history of the competition that the local tennis player played.
Two tennis players managed to win the doubles tournament more than once: two titles each on the account of Larisa Savchenko and Renne Stubbs .
The only tennis player to conquer the tournament in both categories is Czech Jana Novotna , who became the absolute champion of the local tournament in 1993.
