Buturlin, Semyon Nikitich

Semyon Nikitich Buturlin - governor in the service of Moscow Prince Vasily III Ivanovich . Distant descendant of Radshi , a native of Germany. The son of Nikita Ivanovich Buturlin, the brother of the boyars Fyodor , Ivan and Andrei , who were also in the service of the Moscow princes.

In July 1521, during the campaign of the Crimean Khan, Muhammad Giray was among other governors on the Oka , near Serpukhov , in the regiments that could not impede the crossing of the Crimean troops through the Oka. In 1530 he was in Ryazan for protection from the Crimea.
