Emerald ( eng. Emerald Isle ) - the island of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago . It belongs to the Queen Elizabeth Islands and the Parry Islands group. The island is currently uninhabited (2012).

Geography
Prince-Patrick, Melville, Eglinton , Brock and Emerald Islands
The island is located in the western part of the Queen Elizabeth Islands, 26 km north of Cape Scott Melville Island and 27 km east of Cape Hemphill in the northeast of Prince Patrick Island. 24 km to the north of the island there are two small islands - Fitzwilliam Aries (to the west) and Eith Bears (to the east). The area of Emerald Island is 549 km², the coastline is 117 km [1] . The length of the island (from west to east) is 36 km, the maximum width is 22 km [2] .
