Biography
Born in 1945 [1] (according to other sources - in 1942). In Soviet times, organized a number of illegal circles to study the Arabic language and Islam . In 1989, Kebedov organized a Muslim community - a jamaat in the city of Kizilyurt [2] . In 1990, he participated in the creation of the All-Union Islamic Revival Party . In 1992, he published an Arabic textbook for beginners. In 1994-1996 he participated in the first Chechen war on the side of the separatists [3] . In 1997, he founded the Islamic Community of Dagestan [4] , but in the same year he was forced to flee to Chechnya , where he lived first in Gudermes and then in Urus-Martan .
Bagautdin of Dagestani was one of the leaders of the organization “Islamic Army of the Caucasus” - the Russian branch of the Egyptian group “ Brigades of Islambuli ” [5] . The Islamic Army of the Caucasus was created on the basis of the “Islamic Jamaat of Dagestan” [6] and consisted of Dagestan Wahhabis [7] .
He was one of the organizers of the Islamic Shura of Dagestan [8] . He took an active part in organizing the invasion of militants in Dagestan in 1999, led one of three of them - the southern armed formation [9] . After the failure of the rebellion, he fled the country and is wanted. [eight]
