He graduated from LGITMiK with a degree in theater science. He worked as head of the literary part of the Academic Maly Opera and Ballet Theater, Leningrad Academic Philharmonia named after D. D. Shostakovich , the Bolshoi Puppet Theater. Author of plays and screenplays, songs for movies and pop, libretto of operas and ballets.
